Marketing Development Program

This highly selective program is geared toward MBA students interested in gaining valuable experience in marketing, general management, strategy and sales of biopharmaceutical products. Associates will be instrumental in assisting in the development of marketing strategies and of plans of action and the execution of tactical programs.

The organization focuses on the MBA Summer Intern Development Program as a primary source for entry-level talent. Eligible MBAs hired full-time from the intern program will be placed in an Associate Product Manager position where they will gain marketing experience working on in-line, launch or mature products.

Requirements
Eligible candidates will have:

  • a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree during the current school year, scheduled to graduate in winter or spring.
  • functional exposure and experience in marketing, sales and/or finance.
  • demonstrated leadership in student, community or professional organizations.
  • the ability to identify, gather and analyze data to gain a deeper understanding of the customer, brand, disease area, market and competition.
  • diverse thinking with innovative ideas and new approaches to maximize opportunities.
  • demonstrated success in executing strategic plans, including diagnosing the root causes of brand performance, adapting the strategy and planning in the appropriate manner (preferred).
  • the ability to integrate commercial and clinical opportunities.
  • the ability to reinforce the brand’s differentiated core benefit and positioning as well as pricing and reimbursement strategy.

Placements
Full-time positions are available in our main therapeutic areas: oncology, immunology, virology, neuroscience or cardiovascular/metabolics.

Summer intern assignments may include the production of marketing and business plans, evaluation and creation of promotional marketing materials for the sales force and customers, determination of appropriate pricing strategies, market plans, promotional strategies and field inventory development, and evaluation of market research studies (e.g., surveys, focus groups, vendor data) to determine customer needs.
