Technical Operations

Technical Operations, the manufacturing arm of Bristol-Myers Squibb, manufactures active product ingredients for drug products and supplies both small-molecule and biologic products to the marketplace. With multiple worldwide sites, Technical Operations aims to be the highest quality, most reliable and most admired supply organization in the pharmaceutical industry; and its priorities are focused on compliance, new product launches and productivity.

In 2007, the company broke ground on a new $750 million large-scale, multiproduct bulk biologics manufacturing facility located in

Bristol-Myers Squibb
Devens Manufacturing Site
Devens, Massachusetts, which represents the largest capital investment in Bristol-Myers Squibb history. As the company evolves to a next-generation BioPharma company, combining the best of biotechnology with the best of a traditional pharmaceutical company, biologics will play an increasingly important role in driving our company’s future growth and success, and will be key in helping patients prevail over serious disease. This facility is expected to be in production in 2011.
